NOTICE OF VACANCY

SKYLINE MTN SPECIAL SERVICE DISTRICT BOARD

1 Notice of Vacancy: One position on the Skyline Mountain Special Service District (SMSSD) Administrative Control Board has become available due to the open position of current board members representing Board Member B (“the Mountain” member) position. The newly appointed board member, as defined below, would be representing Board Member B (“the Mountain” member) All applicants must be a member of Skyline Mountain Resort (SMR) and own a property interest in SMR. Except for adhering to the general qualifications, see below for explanations.

2. Appointing Authority: The Sanpete County Commission.

3. General Qualifications for the Position:

a. Must be 21 years-of-age or older.

b. Must be a member of SMR and own a property interest in SMR.

c. May not be a full- or part-time employee of the SMSSD or SMR while serving on the Board.

d. A Board member may not be compensated separately as a Board member and as an

employee for providing the same service.

4. Additional Qualifications for Specific Board Positions:

Board Member A (the “Birch Creek” member) must own a property interest in the Birch Creek area, defined in SMR’s CC&Rs as Sections D, F, L or O.
Board Member B (the “Mountain” member) must own a property interest in the Upper Mountain area defined in SMR’s CC&Rs as Sections G, H, J, K, N, and Section M with the exception of M3, M93, M94, M95, M96, and M97.
Board Member C (the “Valley” member) must own a property interest in the Valley area, defined in SMR’s CC&Rs as Sections A, B, C, E or GC, and M Lots M3, M93, M94, M95, M96, and M97.
Except for adhering to the general qualifications, Board Member D (the “at-large” member), must be a member of SMR and own a property interest in SMR.
Board Member E (the “Skyline Mountain Resort Board of Trustee Member”) must be a member of the SMR Board of Trustees at the time of appointment. If at any time during the four-year term, the member fails to maintain membership on the SMR Board of Trustees, the person shall be ineligible for Board Member E status, and the seat shall become vacant and reappointed.

5. Additional skill sets or work experience that can be helpful in performance of board member roles may include: business management and accounting processes; knowledge and application of fluid transfer and pressurized fluid systems; water systems, construction management; computer system operations and technical communications applications.

6. Appointment Procedure: All applicants must submit a written request for appointment designating which board position the application is for, along with a short resume. The application deadline is March 4th 2026, at 5:00 pm at the SMSSD Water Superintendent’s Office 22345 North 12720 East, Lot C49, Fairview, Utah 84629, or mailed to 2201 SMR Fairview, Utah 84629 or e-mailed to smssd2013@gmail.com. The applications will be reviewed by the SMSSD board and regimentations, and All applications will be forwarded to the Sanpete County Clerk for review and consideration for appointment by the County Commissioners during a regular County Commission meeting. (For exact agenda date and time, contact the Sanpete County Clerk’s Office.) The County Commission will allow any applicant to be heard at the meeting.
